Destiny 2: You can assemble the new subclass from The Final Shape yourself

We’re getting closer. The Final Shape will be released on June 4th and yesterday a new trailer was released showing us gameplay for the Destiny 2 expansion. Bungie also shows the new subclasses in the two-minute video.

Build your own subclass?

In The Final Form, the Guardians encounter the last major enemy – the Witness. As always, you’ll be equipped with new abilities for the inevitable battle. This time you can look forward to the so-called prismatic subclasses.

“Light and darkness do not fight within you, Guardian. Find strength in the space between all you have mastered, blur the boundaries and embrace the brokenness,” it reads official website to The Final Shape.

With this subclass you can assemble your own subclass from Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis and Strand. This is how you use special class abilities with different types of damage. Oh and there are also three new light supers.

Bungie describes the prismatic subclasses in broad terms showcase as an “advanced subclass where you have more build crafting options, more possible combinations, more fragments, and more fragment slots for socketing than you normally get.” It should feel a little decisive in the game.

In addition, the exotic class items now have perks that you can combine like the subclasses. The items always have two colorfully thrown together features that you know from existing items. This means you can do things that were otherwise only available to other classes.

A new enemy faction also comes into play with The Final Form. They are the Dread, which also includes the most recently introduced Tormentor. These beings are the “embodiment of the Witness” and appear as bat-like creatures that can suppress abilities and slow you down, acrobatic fighters who set little ghosts on you, or nasty caretakers and weavers with skein or stasis abilities.
