The prelude to the event series “The Palace” was in demand with the audience on Monday evening. The ZDF can look forward to good ratings.

In the three-part series “Der Palast” (3rd, 4th and 5th January, 8:15 pm, ZDF), a German-German family story is told in front of the glamorous backdrop of Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast in 1988/89. And that obviously interests the audience. The start of the series of events shone on Monday evening with strong ratings. 6.34 million tuned in, which meant a market share of 20.1 percent, with the younger audience this was 7.2 percent.

Among other things, ZDF was able to hang out with the entire audience in prime time. The comedy “Oskar, das Schlitzohr und Fanny Supergirl” with Dieter Hallervorden (86) attracted a total of 4.06 million people in front of the screens (12.9 percent).

This is what “The Palace” is all about

The GDR solo dancer Chris Steffen (Svenja Jung, 28) suddenly faces her previously unknown twin sister Marlene Wenninger (Svenja Jung) from West Germany. Both try to discover the family secret, which led to their separation shortly before the Wall was built in 1961.
