The girl in the picture has dark skin, dark hair and blue eyes. She ate hazelnuts and duck, among other things. She lived in what is now Lolland in southeastern Denmark. She was given the name Lola – and she lived more than 5700 years ago.
But even though Lola has been dead for a long time and the Internet, let alone social networks like Twitter, was unthinkable when she was alive, Lola triggered a shitstorm there of all places. Well, actually it wasn’t Lola herself at all, but a picture of the Stone Age girl – and a tweet.
