Death of Émile: the little boy’s mother comes out of silence for the first time since the discovery of the bones

This Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the mother of little Émile, whose bones were found in Haut-Vernet, spoke on a Facebook group.

On March 30, the skull of little Émile, who had been missing since the beginning of July, was found near the hamlet of Haut-Vernet. The child’s mother, who has remained very discreet since the start of the affair, spoke for the first time since the discovery of the first bones.

Thanks and compassion

It was in a publication on a Facebook group (“Pray for Émile”) that the child’s mother spoke. “A huge thank you for the many participations in the prize pool. We received a first part”, she wrote. This prize pool had been launched by one of the group’s administrators in order to finance the funeral and to recite masses, specifies BFMTV.

The mother, who has already spoken out about this group and who had only given an interview to Famille Chrétienne magazine since Émile’s disappearance, then testified about her “compassion”. “We try to read all your messages, whether comments, PMs, letters,… And are always very touched by your compassion”she indicated.

Circumstances of death

This message posted comes a few weeks after the discovery of his son’s bones and analyzes of them are continuing in order to determine the exact causes of the little boy’s death.

“These methodical and in-depth research operations undertaken over 45.3 hectares allowed the discovery of several bodily elements and effects belonging to Emile which are currently being assessed by the IRCGN”indicates prosecutor Jean-Luc Blachon.

From now on, the judicial investigation will continue in the light of the results of the discoveries made and the ongoing expertise with the aim of determining the circumstances of Emile’s death. It is also important that the serenity of the investigation be preserved, as must the peace of the child’s family and the inhabitants of Haut Vernet.
