Death of actor Ryan O’Neal – Culture

Every now and then the fine art of inability must be celebrated, an art of acting that is not an art at all, but a natural appearance in which there is not the slightest hint of method acting disturbing, no brooding be-or-not-being, no Actors Studio, at best an evening course at the Robert Mitchum School, whose founder was famous for marking the more dramatic parts of his scripts with the “NAR” (for no acting required, works without any effort) marked. Ryan O’Neal could do that.
