A 15-year-old girl died of her injuries after being hit on Sunday evening in Le Puech, a town in northern Hérault located about fifty kilometers from Montpellier.
Originally from the village of Olmet and Villecun, the victim was hit from behind as she was about to turn. She had been transported in absolute urgency to the Montpellier University Hospital by helicopter, but she did not survive.
Positive blood alcohol test
The blood alcohol test carried out on the driver behind this tragedy, a man of Swiss nationality, proved positive. He was taken into custody.
