Deal check: CallYa tariff from Vodafone with a 30 euro bonus

Keeping an overview in the jungle of different mobile phone providers and tariffs is often not easy. It feels like there are new offers every day. Vodafone currently has a special deal. Even before Black Friday, there is a prepaid tariff for new customers for 9.99 euros per month and a 30 euro bonus. Is the deal worth it?

The mobile phone provider Vodafone has a special tariff on offer for its future customers: the CallYa Allnet-Flat S for 9.99 euros per month including six gigabytes of data volume and a 30 euro bonus for the first three months. We reveal what’s behind it.

Allnet flat plus bonus: How good is the offer?

Vodafone’s current tariff offer costs just 9.99 euros per month even before Black Friday – a real bargain for everyone who doesn’t want to dig too deep into their pockets for their mobile phone contract. In addition to six gigabytes of data volume per month, a telephone and SMS flat rate within Germany as well as 200 free minutes or 200 SMS to other EU networks are also included. New customers can also look forward to a bonus of 30 euros, which means the first three months are effectively free.

The details of the CallYa deal:

  • six gigabytes of data volume
  • Telephone and SMS flat rate within Germany
  • either 200 free minutes or SMS to other EU networks
  • EU roaming
  • SIM card or eSIM
  • 30 euros new customer bonus for three months with the code “BONUS30”
  • Costs: 9.99 euros per month

Tariff check: The CallYa offer is a prepaid contract. Anyone looking for a tariff with maximum flexibility is well advised here, as there is no minimum term. 9.99 euros per month for six gigabytes of data volume and a telephone and SMS flat rate are also more than fair. With the 30 euro new customer bonus, the tariff is practically free for the first three months. However, the Vodafone tariff is not an all-rounder that is suitable for everyone. Those who surf a lot and therefore need a large data package won’t get far with the CallYa offer. For all normal users, the deal can be definitely worth it.

Alternative: Cheap contract including smartphone

If it is a tariff that already includes the smartphone, Freenet’s offer could be interesting. At 24.99 euros per month, the tariff in the Telekom network is significantly more expensive than the CallYa deal, but you don’t have to invest in a new phone. The data package is also a lot higher here at 25 gigabytes. There is also a telephone and SMS flat rate.

The details of the Freenet offer:

  • 25 gigabytes of data volume (up to 25 Mbit/s)
  • Surfing and making calls in the Telekom network
  • iPhone 11 Refurbished (64 gigabytes) for a one-off price of 39.95 euros
  • SMS and telephone all-net flat rate
  • 19.99 euros connection price
  • 24-month term
  • Basic fee: 24.99 euros per month

But the deal has one catch: the smartphone included is an iPhone 11, for which a one-off fee of 39.95 euros is due. This is not the latest Apple model, and it is shipped in the refurbished version – so it is a completely refurbished model. It should also be noted that the cheap tariff is only valid for a period of 24 months. If you don’t cancel in time, you will then pay 36.99 euros per month.

Cheap tariffs like the current CallYa offer have one disadvantage: a brand new cell phone is not included in the offer. If the current smartphone no longer works, the iPhone 14 is currently available particularly cheaply on eBay. At the online retailer, the purple version is currently reduced to 704.98 euros, making it cheaper than any other provider online. If you want to save additional money, you can use the code “WINTERPOWER” to get an additional 50 euros off the device and pay 654.98 euros. Please note, however, that the offer is limited in time and is only available until November 15th.

Anyone who chooses the iPhone 14 will get a new smartphone with 128 gigabytes of memory, an Apple A15 Bionic chip, 6.1-inch display, a twelve-megapixel camera and a battery life that, according to the manufacturer, lasts up to 20 hours.
