“It was love at first sight”: Ryan Reynolds raves about the ugly supporting actress

Ryan Reynolds not only stars in Deadpool & Wolverine, but he also co-wrote the screenplay. He had a special idea that made “Deadpool” a dog fan.
In the upcoming Marvel film adaptation “Deadpool & Wolverine,” a supporting actress could steal the show from the title heroes. Like “Deadpool” actor Ryan Reynolds As revealed to Empire magazine, there’s a new addition to the cast: “Her real name is Peggy and she won the award for Britain’s ugliest dog,” says Reynolds. “The reason I was a big supporter of her was because she feels like the animal manifestation of Wade Wilson.”
Unsurprisingly, Reynolds says of Deadpool as a dog owner: “It’s love at first sight. He loves Dogpool.” The actor co-wrote the “Deadpool & Wolverine” screenplay and describes the process this way: “It was, like many things during the writing process, a tiny little afterthought that grew. It was one of those things where you just follow the film continued listening, and Dogpool became a fixture.”

Reynolds portrayed the antihero Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) in a black and red costume in “Deadpool” (2016) and “Deadpool 2” (2018). The new trailer begins with a birthday party for Wilson. This is disturbed by unexpected guests: the “Time Variance Authority” (TVA for short), who Marvel fans know from the series “Loki”. They recruit Deadpool for a job.
As is usual with the “Deadpool” series, the scenes are peppered with ironic comments and action. Deadpool, for example, describes himself as “Marvel Jesus”. He is likely to meet various characters from previous Marvel films in the film. In Germany, “Deadpool & Wolverine” with Ryan Reynolds and the ugliest dog in Great Britain will be released in cinemas on July 24, 2024.
