Dead Space: Development complete – Remake reaches Gold status

As the developers at Motive Studios announced, the remake of “Dead Space” has officially reached gold status. So nothing stands in the way of the planned release in the coming month.

For the past few months, the developers at EA Motive Studios have been working feverishly to complete the remake of the 2008 survival horror classic Dead Space.

The Montreal-based developer studio announced that the remake officially went gold this week. Or to put it another way: the work on the new edition has been successfully completed. Thus, the remake of “Dead Space” can be released as planned in the coming month.

“We are whole again. The entire Motive team is excited to announce that Dead Space has gone Gold! Thanks to all the fans who have supported us so far,” the studio said in an official tweet.

An immersive one-shot experience

According to the creative minds at Motive Studios, “Dead Space” will not only be given a completely new graphic as part of the remake. In addition, the way the horror adventure story is told to you has been overhauled. For example, the protagonist Isaac Clarke finally speaks and the background stories or fates of selected NPCs are also being expanded.

According to the developers, other innovations include the fact that the remake of “Dead Space” is presented to you in the form of a one-shot experience, just like “God of War” (2018) or “God of War: Ragnarok”. in which camera cuts are deliberately avoided.

There are also new mini-games in weightlessness, massively reduced loading times and the feature called “Intensity Director”, with which Motive Studios want to create a feeling of permanent tension. We have more details on this topic here summarized for you.
