Dax Group – Hellofresh expects significantly more sales – economy

Kochbox mail order company Hellofresh wants to break the sales mark of six billion euros this year. The shares of the Berlin company, which was recently included in the German leading index Dax, jumped more than 13 percent after the announcement. “Business is booming,” said co-founder and CEO Dominik Richter. Hellofresh is now expecting currency-adjusted sales growth of between 57 and 62 percent in 2021 and, in the best case scenario, sales of more than six billion euros. At the beginning of the year, a maximum increase of 25 percent was in prospect. The company now has almost seven million customers worldwide, of whom the regular customers have recently ordered more and more. In the third quarter, currency-adjusted sales climbed 45 percent to 1.41 billion euros. That is significantly less than a year ago, when the plus in the Corona crisis was more than 120 percent. The ten-year-old food supplier relies on so-called cooking boxes, which are delivered directly to your doorstep in the subscription model with recipes and measured ingredients.
