A little more than a month after his sentence to four and a half years in prison for the rape of a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona, the night of December 30 to 31, 2022, Dani Alves will be able to leave the penitentiary establishment where he was imprisoned in Catalonia. The former Brazilian player (40 years old), whose accounts were blocked, was finally able to raise the funds necessary for his release, the court announced late Monday morning.
“We inform you that the deposit of Daniel Alves’ deposit has been recorded in the accounts of the 21st section of the Court of Barcelona”, indicated the latter in a press release. Subject to a ban on leaving Spain, Alves also had to leave his passports available to the court while awaiting his appeal trial.
