The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of black ice for the area of the state capital Munich on Friday morning. The warning initially applies until 6 p.m. in the evening. The strongest is to be expected with smoothness until 9 a.m.
The DWD advises avoiding spending time outdoors. In addition, severe disruptions to traffic are to be expected. The DWD advises “adapting behavior on the road”. Light drizzle is currently exacerbating the situation.
Slippery roads can also be expected in other areas around Munich. The warning applies in the north to just before Ingolstadt, in the south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The lows are currently minus two degrees in Munich, on Saturday it should be a little milder again.
