Dance: Micha Purucker’s new artist choreography – Munich

With his new piece “1008040 – rats in the living room”, choreographer Micha Purucker sets a number puzzle that he willingly deciphers: Pier Paolo Pasolini would have been one hundred years old in 2022, Derek Jarman eighty, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder is now forty Years dead. After Alberto Giacometti, Maria Lassnig and Jean Genet, it is again artists whose sensitivity and special aesthetics Purucker deals with. Different narrative styles, time levels and locations are reflected in an arena that extends over three rooms: dynamic sequences coalesce into tableaux vivants, group actions end as solos. The premiere of the dance work is on Thursday, January 12, in the Schwere Reiter.
