Two people were slightly injured because of a recalcitrant cyclist on Autobahn 96 in Swabia. As the police announced on Monday, the 77-year-old had noticed his bike on Sunday near Erkheim (Unterallgäu district) to an employee of the motorway maintenance department. He held the cyclist with a witness until the police arrived.
The 77-year-old did not want to speak to the officials. In addition, he clung to the guardrail – despite repeated requests to leave the highway. The police officers then tied up the man, carried him over the guardrail and brought him to a patrol car. The employee of the Autobahnmeisterei and a police officer were slightly injured. The cyclist is being investigated for resisting police officers and assault.
