According to authorities, no bather was injured. “It’s a wonder no one was sunning themselves under the wall on this part of the beach,” said an eyewitness. The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries, the passenger was uninjured, said police spokesman Sean Donnelly. The accident vehicle was later recovered using a crane.
