Media worker Kristina Wölfel, 36, stage name Kriwoe, has been moderating Christopher Street Day in Munich for three years. Her first stage appearance had to take place as a live stream because of the pandemic. Sent from the lesbian-queer center on Müllerstraße. “It was a good baptism,” she says on the phone. She laughs a lot, jokes and changes what is indicated in conversation with colons in the appropriate words. Wölfel gets serious when she talks about queer hostility, homophobia and discrimination. She moderates on the main stage at Marienplatz together with drag queen Dean DeVille. Kriwoe calls from her flat share in Berlin, where she has just moved after 17 years in Munich.
