Apparently, the “Fortnite” community can look forward to various crossover content in the new year 2022. This is indicated by the information provided by the insiders Nick Baker and Jeff Grubb, who started talking about “Doom” and other series from Bethesda Softworks in a podcast.
Just in time for the start of the new year, we received the first rumors about possible crossover content that the successful Battle Royal shooter “Fortnite” from Epic Games could be supplied with in the next few months.
The unconfirmed details were circulated by two industry insiders Nick Baker and Jeff Grubb, who are in the current “XboxEra” Podcast talked about the future of “Fornite” and pointed out that crossovers to various brands from Bethesda Softworks and Microsoft are planned. So far, only the “Doom” series from id Software has been named in this case. “The Doom Slayer will find its way in Fortnite,” it says here. “There will likely be a handful of Microsoft and Bethesda characters for Fortnite.”
Official announcement could be a while in coming
It will take some time until the official announcement of the crossover by Epic Games or Microsoft and Bethesda Softworks. As Baker pointed out, there are still a few details that need to be clarified behind the scenes regarding the trademark rights. Therefore, the players should not expect any specific information or announcements in the foreseeable future.

Those responsible at Epic Games themselves have not yet wanted to comment on the current rumors about the possible crossover. In a separate tweet, however, the studio indicated compensation for the server problems at the end of last year.
