His brother yelled at him, his father told untruths, the royal family spread lies: Prince Harry made serious allegations against family members via Netflix – a few months after the beginning of Charles III’s reign.

New statements from Prince Harry about his relationship with his father and brother are causing a stir in Great Britain. It is about serious allegations that Harry raises in retrospect to discussions with his family after his departure from the royal family.

“It was terrifying how my brother would yell and yell at me and my dad would say things that just aren’t true,” Harry said in episode five of the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, out today.

His grandmother – Queen Elizabeth II – just sat there at the meeting and let everything sink in. Harry expressed understanding for her role: “Her ultimate mission, her responsibility is the institution.”

Farewell to the royal family in 2020

Harry (38) and his wife Meghan (41) said goodbye to the British royal family in 2020 and now live in California with their two children. In the multi-part documentary series, they tell their story from their own point of view and sharply attack the British media and the royal family.

Among other things, the couple accuses the palace of having provided the tabloid media with negative and sometimes false information about them. Harry describes the interaction between royals and boulevards as a “dirty game”.

“Stories are born”

He has 30 years of experience behind the scenes and knows how the system works, he says for Netflix in front of the camera. If a press team wanted to clear up a negative story about a particular member of the royal family, rumors would be spread about another family member. “Not only are things leaked, but stories are also being told.”

The offices of the respective members of the British royal family worked against each other. “William and I both saw what was going on at our father’s office and we agreed that we would never allow that to happen at our offices,” Harry says in the documentary. “To see my brother’s office replicate what we promised never to do was heartbreaking.”

The first three episodes of last Thursday’s documentary saw more than 28 million households worldwide in the first four days (until Sunday) (81.55 million streamed hours divided by 2.9 hours, as Netflix calculated).
