It is there that this Tuesday evening, from 8 p.m., the examining magistrates gave an appointment to the different parts of the file.
At the forefront of which will be Cédric Jubillar, the main suspect in this case, placed in pre-trial detention for eighteen months for the murder of his wife and extracted from the Seysses remand center for the occasion. This “reconstruction”, in a completely cordoned off area, could well be one of the last acts of the investigation. In any case, it has been requested several times by the lawyers of the 35-year-old plasterer, who claims his innocence.
“Normally, reconstructions, we have them in all criminal files, whatever the version of the defendant. There, the difficulty is that they have nothing, we do not know what their scenario is except to say that Cédric Jubillar killed her. If, for example, we had a crime scene with blood, we could say that a knife was used, then what are we going to reproduce? A strangulation? A stab wound outside? He hits her with an object? They think it’s a hit in the living room and it hides the body well, but it leaves the glasses in evidence? They may be able to come up with a scenario for us, that will allow us to establish what we must defend ourselves against before an assize court, ”assures Me Emmanuelle Franck, one of the three advisers to the husband of Delphine Jubillar, who was in the process of separating from his wife.

In particular the moment when neighbors claim to have heard the cries of women, mingled with barking, shortly after 11 p.m., when they had gone out to smoke a cigarette. A testimony that does not stick for the defense. “The direct neighbors are all present at 11 p.m. and none were sleeping except for a lady who was sick and had gone to bed early. They were all interrogated the next day and all say they heard nothing. This is what is surprising in the story of these neighbors: they, living 130 m away, hear screaming, and people who are three meters away hear nothing, ”argues Emmanuelle Franck.
With masters Alexandre Martin and Jean-Baptiste Alary, she asked that the route between the school and the couple’s marital home be retraced in order to show that Delphine’s car was parked in the right direction when the gendarmes arrived around 4:50 a.m. morning, after a call from Cédric Jubillar reporting the disappearance of his wife. A way for them to demonstrate that the plasterer did not use the vehicle to move the body of his wife in the middle of the night.

Because among the “serious and concordant clues” retained against Cédric Jubillar, notably appears his attitude the morning of the disappearance of his wife, with whom he was in the process of separation.
The first thing he reportedly did when he turned his phone back on shortly before 4 a.m. was to log on to a dating site. Between 3:53 a.m. and 4 a.m. he would then have taken 46 steps according to his pedometer. Then 255 steps, between 4 am and 5 am. Too little to have carried out real research that could have demonstrated that he was distraught? This is what the prosecution is aiming for, which also suspects him of having kept his wife’s mobile phone, which he allegedly activated shortly before 7 a.m., when the gendarmes present at his home were outside. outside. “Between the moment he turns on his phone and the moment the gendarmes arrive on the spot, he takes 300 steps, that is more than 200 meters. He looked in the immediate vicinity of the house, the two children were sleeping inside the house, ”recalls, for his part, his lawyer Emmanuelle Franck.
So many questions that should be addressed for part of the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Just like the question of the nurse’s glasses, found damaged in the enclosure of the house or the testimony of little Louis, who said during his third hearing that he would have seen his parents arguing through the crack in the door to his room. The civil parties hope for their part that this reconstitution will have the effect of an electric shock on the main accused. “He will reconnect for the first time with the marital home, he will relive the last moments of his wife’s life.
