After a fight with two women, a security guard at Columbia Pools was attacked by two men. The police are investigating for assault.

Despite various increased security measures, Columbiabad is in Berlin-Neukölln again came to a violent incident with police action. A security guard was attacked and beaten by two men on Monday evening, police reported on Tuesday. The men had apparently been summoned by two women who had been arguing with the security guards.

In the first half of the summer there had been several incidents in the Columbiabad and some other outdoor pools with unruly teenagers and young men who argued, accosted and sometimes even hit. The police were called several times and pools were closed early.

The 26-year-old security guard said he approached two women with prams before the attack because they were trying to exit the bathroom through a wrong exit. The women ignored his request several times, which led to an argument. One of the two women is said to have made a phone call. Shortly thereafter, several cars drove up, from which the two attackers climbed.

One of the two men is said to have held the guard so that the second could punch him in the face. The first man also struck. The men then threatened him with a glass bottle, then reportedly left the bathroom and drove away.
