The starting point for this Cologne native crime scene is extremely bad: it has to be violent, after all it is the Sunday crime thriller. On the other hand, it is the first Advent, and therefore there is an interpersonal obligation of warmth for the sociotope in the area that must definitely be taken into account. Because you can’t bring the two together anyway, this episode skips the attempt altogether. It’s a bit like switching between two films: one with a bloody knife and a dead delivery man. And one in which Ballauf (Klaus J. Behrendt) has to do Christmas elves and Schenk (Dietmar Bär) stares in disbelief at the price tag on a handbag while shopping (“I paid that much for my first car – no, Susanne”).
