Crime fans love the Münster “Tatort” with Thiel and Boerne: The new ratings for “Unter Gärtnern” on Sunday evening speak for this.

Chief Inspector Thiel and forensic doctor Boerne can start the new week with a success: As the industry portal “DWDL.de” reports, the Münster “crime scene” once again managed to break the ten million mark on Sunday evening.

On average, 12.73 million “Tatort” fans watched the Sunday evening crime thriller called “Unter Gärtnern”, in which the two characters – played by Axel Prahl (63) and Jan Josef Liefers (59) – investigate in an idyllic allotment . This meant that “Tatort” secured a market share of 41.1 percent. In comparison, the “Tagesschau” came in second with 7.31 million viewers and 25.9 percent market share.

“Tatort” was also able to establish itself as the clear daily winner in the target group of 14 to 49 year olds: 2.12 million of this age group tuned in to Münster’s “Tatort” on the linear television program from 8:15 p.m., thus ensuring a market share of 29.4 Percent.

What is “Crime Scene: Among Gardeners” about?

The “Crime Scene: Among Gardeners” (also available via the ARD media library) takes Chief Inspector Frank Thiel and forensic doctor Professor Karl-Friedrich Boerne to an allotment garden in Münster.

We need to find out whether the idyllic allotment garden in the middle of the picturesque town is actually a crime scene or whether the popular older lady simply died of natural causes. The dead Sabine Schmidt (Sibylle Canonica, 66, “The Pass”) is completely intact on the outside. However, the two dead squirrels right next to her appear to have died at the same time.
