An attempted aid operation almost cost a woman her life in Wilhelmshaven. Then the attacker also attacked the police. An arrest warrant was requested against the man.

Two passers-by are one after the cries for help A woman broke into an apartment in Wilhelmshaven (Lower Saxony) and was seriously injured. They heard a man arguing with his girlfriend on Friday night, police said. The 30-year-old woman and the 34-year-old man therefore went into the house, the passer-by kicked in the apartment door – whereupon the resident attacked both of them with a knife or an axe.

The 25-year-old then kicked the back of the 30-year-old’s knees, causing her to fall. The resident also stabbed both passers-by and seriously injured the woman in the back of the head. Both helpers managed to escape. The seriously injured 30-year-old was taken to a hospital, the man was slightly injured.

The police were also called to the 25-year-old’s apartment. The “highly aggressive” man “positioned himself in front of the apartment door and vehemently claimed that nothing unusual had happened,” it was said. The officers asked him to leave the apartment. On the way out, however, he tried to attack his girlfriend again. When one of the police wanted to arrest him, he reportedly attacked him and tore his uniform shirt. Eventually the man was arrested.

An application was made for an arrest warrant to be issued for attempted murder. The police found narcotics and packaging material in the apartment. Investigators believe the man was dealing the drugs.
