A passer-by found a body on a country road near Cologne. The police set up a homicide squad.
A passer-by discovered a body stuck upside down in a sewer shaft on a country road near Cologne early on Sunday morning. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the unknown man, said a police spokesman. The circumstances surrounding the crime are still unclear. The body should be autopsied on Sunday.
The body discovered on a country road in Niederkassel-Lülsdorf was covered with split. A wheelbarrow was discovered nearby, which may have been used to transport the split to the shaft. The Bonn “General-Anzeiger” had previously reported on the discovery of the corpse.
