According to the police, 125 homes and offices were searched in various parts of the country and approximately 500 terabytes of data “with extremely hard pornographic content” were confiscated.

With the arrest of more than 120 people is the Spanish Police have made a major strike against child pornography. It is “one of the most important actions against the production, distribution and possession of child pornography in our country,” the Policía Nacional said on Saturday.

The total of 121 arrested were 118 men and three women. “More than two million files containing serious sexual abuse of very young girls” were confiscated in Madrid from one of the arrested men alone. “Many of the videos were characterized by a high level of violence towards the victims and were spread across ten large hard drives,” the statement said. Investigations are continuing to identify additional suspected perpetrators and victims. The authorities initially did not release any further information about the perpetrators and victims.
