Crazy fruit juice bill! Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulls out on Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has complained in his new autobiography about Manchester United’s petty career and gives two examples.

In his new autobiography ‘Adrenaline’, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic expressed his amazement at the pettiness at his ex-club Manchester United. The reason for this is a fruit juice for the price of one pound (around 1.20 euros).

“Everyone thinks United are a top club, one of the richest and most powerful clubs in the world. It looked like it from the outside, but when I was there I found a small and limited mentality,” said Ibrahimovic.

“When we were at the hotel with the team before the game, I got thirsty and took a fruit juice from the mini-bar,” continued the Swede. “We played, went home and time passed.”

United deduct Ibrahimovic a pound from his salary

When his pay slip arrived, the now 40-year-old had a nasty surprise. “Normally I don’t look at it at all, I only do that at the end of the year. Then I noticed that they deducted a pound from my monthly salary.”

Ibrahimovic then called the team manager to inquire about the reason for the salary deduction. After a brief examination, they replied that it was about the fruit juice from the mini-bar, because “if you order something here, you have to pay for it”.

A fact that Ibrahimovic found incomprehensible. “I didn’t go on vacation at the hotel, I worked for Manchester United. When I’m playing and I’m thirsty, I drink. I can’t go on the lawn dehydrated,” he said.

Ibra must identify itself on training grounds

“Can you believe it? Because of an ache? That would never happen in Italy,” continued Ibrahimovic, who is currently playing for AC Milan again. “It’s those little details that make the difference and that’s how you earn the players’ respect.”

Another United Red Devils employee apparently didn’t manage to do this either. “I had to show my papers every day to get to the training ground,” said Ibrahimovic, angry about another incident.

“I closed the window and said to the person at the gate: ‘Look my friend, I’ve been coming here every day for a month now. I’m the best player in the world. If you still don’t recognize me, then you have the wrong job . ‘”
