No respite in hospitals. Washed out by two and a half years of pandemic, healthcare personnel must now face a triple threat. First the ninth wave of Covid-19, with an increasing number of contaminations. But also the “still very active” circulation of bronchiolitis.
In Brittany, it is now the flu that worries the authorities, with the region moving into the epidemic phase. In this context, public and private health establishments throughout the Ille-et-Vilaine department have activated their white plan, at the request of the Regional Health Agency. This is also the case in other establishments such as Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d’Armor) or Vannes (Morbihan). This “exceptional device” aims to “ensure the care of patients” in a context of high tension, recalls the ARS.
The ARS calls for respect for barrier gestures
The white plan enables establishments to adapt their staff organization in order to anticipate difficulties. In this tense context, the ARS sent a message of prevention to the entire population, asking us “strict respect for barrier gestures”.
Like Elisabeth Borne a few days ago, the Regional Health Agency advises wearing a mask when in contact with fragile people and on public transport. To see the few travelers concerned in the metro and buses in Rennes, not sure that the message was heard. Repeated hand washing is also advised.
