The family missing since their house burned down in the night Gindou, a small town in the Lot, unfortunately did not survive the fire. The bodies of the couple and their little boy were found by firefighters in the rubble.
It would be a couple of adults aged “40-50 years” and a young boy “8-9 years old”, specified Alexander Rossithe public prosecutor of Cahors, to AFP.
According to the prefect of Lot, Claire Raulinwho went to the scene, the firefighters were alerted at 4:50 a.m. for a house fire, which was brought under control in the morning with the intervention of 45 firefighters.
A psychological unit at school
An investigation has been opened and the autopsy of the bodies should take place on Tuesday, added the Cahors prosecutor, specifying that the origin of the fire could come from a wood stove.
The Lot prefecture also announced that a psychological support unit has been set up in the school where the little boy attended.
