A stroke stopped the career of US country star Randy Travis in 2013. Now the singer is announcing his first recording after a long recovery period.

The American country star Randy Travis (64, “For Ever and Ever, Amen”) is back with a new song after a long break due to illness. It’s been “a while” since his last recording, the singer wrote on Instagram. This Friday (May 3rd) he wants to release the song “Where That Came From”. The next day he turns 65. A special team made this “magical moment” in his career possible, Travis continued, without naming names.

The Grammy winner was initially hospitalized in 2013 because of a heart muscle problem. After a difficult one The country star then had to undergo emergency surgery after suffering a stroke. This was followed by a long rehabilitation treatment. He was rarely seen in public. He married his then fiancée, Mary Davis, in 2015.

His best-known songs include “For Ever and Ever, Amen” and “Diggin’ Up Bones.” Travis won multiple Grammy Awards and Academy of Country Music trophies.
