Dachau’s Lord Mayor Florian Hartmann (SPD) speaks in front of around 250 counter-demonstrators at the Kulturschranne. To loud applause, he criticized the “hubris” and “historical oblivion” of those who shout “We are the people” in this country today. The answer is instant. “We are the people,” yells a young man across the street. He grins challengingly, but continues to the meeting point for the so-called strollers at the town hall. The scene represents the ongoing division of society in the second Corona year.
