STORY: Last minute rescue: This video from the Democratic Republic of the Congo shows several men being rescued from a collapsed gold mine. The incident is said to have taken place in South Kivu province on Saturday. Heavy rainfall there led to the accident. At least nine workers were able to save themselves. Mining accidents are the order of the day in the Central African country. Many people earn their living working in illegal and mostly completely unsafe mines. At the beginning of March, several miners died in a similar accident in an illegal mine.
