In Japan they have already named a wine after Silje Nergaard. After all, the Norwegian singer stands for the Scandinavian singer miracle of the nineties. Mediated by Pat Metheny, she was the first Nordic jazz vocalist to get a record deal with a major label. Tord Gustavsen was her companion for a long time. He was just in the underpass, now Nergaard follows him. Always a mediator between jazz and pop, she has now put together an appropriate Christmas program that, in a duo with pianist Espen Berg, shuns the usual kitsch and prefers to use her own songs and timeless interpretations by Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney or Vince Guaraldi.
