With the Queen already having to cancel the Commonwealth Day service, rumors are swirling that she may also be too weak for Philip’s upcoming memorial service.

Concern about Queen Elizabeth II is growing in the UK. After the monarch had to cancel the Commonwealth Day service next Monday in Westminster Abbey in London, her participation in the memorial service for her late husband Prince Philip now seems to be shaking. There are rumors that the palace is concerned that the Queen may even be forced to stay at home.

The Queen, who is celebrating her platinum jubilee this year, is now an impressive 95 years old and is no longer in particularly good health. It has already been reported in the British media that the Queen is no longer even fit enough to walk her beloved Corgis – and has been for the past six months. The Daily Mail speculates that she may not be “mobile enough” to attend the ceremony. And the tabloid “Sun” also quoted a source as saying “She’s not doing well enough”.

“The Queen is not a superman”

The Queen was only recently infected with the corona virus, after which she withdrew to Windsor Castle, where she lives, for a few weeks to recover. After recovering from what were probably only mild symptoms, she immediately became active again and received Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “The Queen is extraordinary. She has continued with great strength for years, but we have to remember that she is 95 and not superhuman,” royal expert Penny Junor also told the Daily Mail. She added: “Other than that she is in great shape. The Queen is fantastic on Zoom calls but I think events that require her to walk or climb steps will no longer be viable.”

So far it’s just speculation. Because although the Queen had to cancel tomorrow’s service, according to media reports, the palace emphasized that the monarch “will take care of other planned commitments in the coming week”, including personal audiences.

Prince Harry skips church service

The Queen’s health isn’t the only thing Britain is currently concerned about in connection with the upcoming memorial service. Because it had just become known that Prince Harry did not want to travel to London to attend the event in honor of his late grandfather. As also reported by the “Daily Mail”, the monarch was allegedly informed of Harry’s official cancellation only 15 minutes in advance.
