Shop rents in large and medium-sized Bavarian cities have once again fallen massively. The decline is most noticeable in shops with an area of 60 square meters in prime locations, i.e. in the pedestrian zones. Rents here fell by 7.5 percent from autumn 2023 to spring 2024. Only in Munich has the price level stabilized, although at a significantly lower level than before Corona. This is shown by the latest figures from the real estate association IVD for Bavaria and Munich.
