It was only a matter of time: After having its first district administrator and its first full-time mayor, the AfD can now celebrate that one of its candidates will become mayor for the first time in German history. The Saxon city of Pirna is getting an independent master carpenter as its city boss who has run for a right-wing extremist party. Only a week and a half ago, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution confirmed that this party had a general denigration of democracy and a racist concept of the people with roots in historical National Socialism.
