This week was remarkable for German space travel: First, the cornerstones of the new space strategy became known. With this, the government wants to tie down its main goals for space, support space founders and finally get a space law on the way. Second, the industry celebrated the launch of the last launch vehicle Ariane 5, which can also be a signal of departure. But somewhere in the middle, the 2024 federal budget turned the new strategy into a paper tiger.
