Comment on the power plant strategy: Little gained for climate protection – economy

At least the federal government finally has a plan for how the electricity system should function without coal. But the traffic lights focus too one-sidedly on gas.

The good news first: Something is happening on the German electricity market. After long discussions, the federal government finally has a strategy for what the network and false floor could look like for electricity generation in the future. She wants to launch tenders to create new power plant capacities. The government leaders are thus ending a months-long blockade – for investments that should actually have been initiated the day before yesterday. But whether this will actually result in more climate protection remains to be seen.
