There were just 13 minutes between the two information letters sent out by the German Football Association (DFB) on Thursday evening. At 8:05 p.m. he announced that Rudi Völler, 62, would return to the association as sports director. And at 8:18 p.m., the DFB announced that the tax office was depriving it of non-profit status for the years 2014 and 2015; To put it less bureaucratically, this means that the DFB has to pay almost 30 million euros in back taxes and is heading for a huge financial problem.
