Comment on bonuses at Lufthansa: Completely lifted – economy

The state saved Lufthansa with tax money, but now the managers should still collect bonuses. The plan is a disaster, the reputation suffers, responsibility for which lies with the head of the supervisory board, Karl-Ludwig Kley.

Such things are usually regulated more discreetly between the federal government and large companies, after all, nobody should lose face. But that didn’t matter now. Shortly after it became known that Lufthansa might want to pay out long-term bonuses to its board members for 2021, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit publicly announced to the group on Wednesday: “The federal government expressly sees it differently.”
