Commemorative campaign “Return of Names” in Munich: How thousands remember Nazi victims – Munich

During the “Return of Names” campaign, thousands remember Munich residents who were killed by the Nazis. About the fates of the murdered – and how godparents tell about them today.

For Angelika Ocelak, her mission begins with a positive experience. A resident of the house at Kobellstrasse 5 spontaneously brought her a bottle of water, and now he also brings a small stool. Ocelak stands in front of the Art Nouveau house on the side street near Theresienwiese on Thursday afternoon to remember Paula Feuchtwanger. The Jewish woman lived there with her husband in the 1930s. In November 1941, at the age of 50, she was deported to Lithuania by the National Socialists and shot.
