Combating the shortage of skilled workers with sleep advice – business

Many people are constantly tired at work. Companies are recognizing that healthy sleep is also an issue for their workforce. Two ideas that are becoming increasingly popular: relaxation rooms and sleep seminars during work.

Just take a nap during your break? This is now also possible in the company for the 9,000 employees of T-Systems International. Andreas Franke, health manager at the Telekom subsidiary, has had retreat rooms set up with beach chairs and seat cushions at all locations. The suggestion to incorporate more rest breaks into everyday work was initially rejected by the boss: “The managing director just said that we can’t encourage our people to sleep at work,” says Franke. The lack of skilled workers in the IT sector then led to him being convinced.
