The collision occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on the D142 departmental road, towards the Table du Roi crossroads. “One of the trucks did not respect its lane and the other opposite probably arrived too quickly,” explained a departmental police source.
The collision causes a fire
Both occupants of each vehicle died instantly. At this stage, only one of them, of Romanian nationality, has been identified, according to a police source. The collision caused a fire which required the intervention of “around twenty ground resources as well as 75 emergency personnel”, according to another police source.
