Cocorico, France becomes world champion of pâté-croute again and monopolizes the podium

Monday evening, the podium looked great. Three places haloed in blue, white and red. And this time, Japan, although considered one of the favorites, failed to climb to the top places. The world pâté crust championship was won by Frédéric Le Guen-Geffroy.

The Parisian won ahead of two other Frenchmen: the Lyonnais Jérémie Crauser, already vice-world champion last year, and the Norman Emeline Aubry who won the bronze medal. Fourteen candidates were in the running. Note that Japan had won the last three editions.

The winner made the difference thanks to a version composed of free-range pork, Muscovy duck, chanterelles and a fine chicken and pistachio stuffing.
