Classical music: Peter Kofler plays in Jesuitenkirche – Dachau

Next Sunday is all about Johann Sebastian Bach in Munich’s Jesuit Church of St. Michael. The organist Peter Kofler will open the 14th Munich Organ Autumn at 4 p.m. on the Rieger organ with works by the Thomaskantor. Kofler, who lives in Vierkirchen, is the artistic director of the renowned festival, which this year again has a demanding program in store. The concert on Wednesday, October 5, with the baroque ensemble “L’ Accademia Giocosa” is already sold out. But the Accademia will be giving another concert at Dachau Palace on Saturday October 15th, together with Counter Valer Sabadus. The young French master organist Thomas Ospital can be heard during the Organ Week on Friday, October 7th. On Sunday, October 9th, at 4 p.m. in the Michaelssaal, there will be a master concert with Lena Neudauer (violin), Sebastian Klinger (violoncello) and Anna Buchberger (piano). At “Talk im Saal” on Wednesday, October 12, at 8 p.m., the motto is “More than just music – no Tach without Bach”. Choir director Frank Höndgen talks to Reinhard Cardinal Marx about God and the world, music and faith. The internationally acclaimed Canadian concert organist Isabelle Demers will be responsible for the evening program on Friday, October 14, at 8 p.m. “From Bach to Keith Jarrett it’s finally on Sunday, October 16, at 4 p.m. with Otto Maria Krämer.
