In the “Rote Sonne” club there is a densely packed audience between the ages of 25 and 45: what a difference this “club concert” has to evenings with chamber music in the Herkulessaal. The fare was not easy: duos by Mozart and, in addition to the first movement from Op. 51/2 by Johannes Brahms, his main work was his late String Quintet Op. 111. Nevertheless, after every movement there was extremely warm applause.
