City toll instead of driving ban – Munich

If you drive your own car in the capital of the United Kingdom, you have to pay a fee for it. That would also be a sensible model for Munich, instead of simply excluding older diesel vehicles.

It is certainly no news that big cities are too congested, that traffic pollutes the air – and has been for decades. The increased commitment of the metropolises to finally take action against air pollution with various restrictions is relatively new. Because even if there is good public transport, there will always be people who prefer to get into their own car. We are not talking about those who are absolutely dependent on the car for health or professional reasons, but about those who drive themselves for sheer convenience.
