Citizens’ prize of the state parliament: Schreyer calls for applications – district of Munich

The number of mental illnesses such as depression or anxiety disorders has increased massively, particularly as a result of the restrictions imposed by the corona pandemic. This year, the Citizens’ Prize of the Bavarian state parliament is intended to honor people and voluntary initiatives who help those affected in Bavaria to deal with their illness, support their environment or practice prevention to maintain mental health. The Unterhachinger member of parliament Kerstin Schreyer (CSU) calls for applying for the award by March 5th. “A healthy soul is a prerequisite for quality of life, productivity and social participation,” says Schreyer. “That’s why the commitment of volunteers who care for people with mental illness and their environment is important.” The citizen award is endowed with 50,000 euros.
