Tom Cruise is heading for a gorge in an airplane: At the CinemaCon film trade fair in Las Vegas, there were first adventurous impressions of the “Mission: Impossible” forest.
Fans of the “Mission: Impossible” series will have to wait until July 2023 for the next episode, but at the film trade fair CinemaCon in Las Vegas there was now a foretaste of the seventh action adventure with Tom Cruise as Agent Ethan Hunt.
Studio Paramount presented a teaser and the title “Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning Part 1”.
Cruise (59) was added via video message from filming in South Africa. The actor, known for his own stunts, recorded a video in a vintage airplane on which he balances in flight before the machine hurtles towards a ravine. Director Christopher McQuarrie’s film also stars Esai Morales, Rebecca Ferguson and Pom Klementieff.
CinemaCon-goers also caught the first screening of “Top Gun: Maverick” on Thursday, starring Tom Cruise as former fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who is now a flight instructor. The remake of the blockbuster “Top Gun” from 1986 will premiere in the USA in early May and will then be shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
