Christopher Clark receives honorary award at the Bavarian Book Prize 2022 – Munich

He is a powerful voice among historians. Now the Australian scientist and author Christopher Clark, who lives in Great Britain, will receive another important German prize after the Aachen Charlemagne Medal this year: As part of the Bavarian Book Prize 2022, he will be awarded the honorary prize of the Bavarian Prime Minister. “As an excellent historian, Sir Christopher Clark writes brilliantly and extremely well-founded, especially about German history. He is remarkably successful in relating numerous historical details to the major lines of our time,” says Markus Söder in his justification : “Sir Christopher Clark tells history very vividly and vividly, as a reader one almost sticks to his books.” The Bavarian Book Prize – including prizes for novels and non-fiction books – will be awarded on November 10th by the Bavarian Association of the German Book Trade Association with the support of the Bavarian State Chancellery in the Allerheiligen Hofkirche in Munich.
