A short sentence has been worrying many in Bavaria’s schools for weeks, expressed at the anniversary celebration of the Nuremberg Teachers’ Association: “It will be a big wheel that we are turning,” said Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) and aimed at significantly more flexible teacher training. He wants to solve the long-term problem of teacher shortages. And silence the constant moaning about hours lost before the state elections. So far, little is concrete.
